The ‘Flowers on the Tower’ project
Trumpington Stitchers joined with others to celebrate the Country Park’s Fifth Birthday. We created over 1,000 flowers, attached to four panels, to hang on the Hopscotch public art installation at the Public Square in Trumpington Meadows.
The flowers were made in many ways using a variety of materials, including plastic bags, tin cans, fabric, felt, yarn and netting. We were pleased to have the local youth group, the residents of Denis Wilson Court, and the 1st Trumpington Cubs make wonderful contributions.
The Tower is now on tour and is available for any community events – please contact us if you would like to use it. It can be hung in various ways, so is very flexible.
