Carol Holloway – Chair of Trumpington Stitchers

I have been involved with Stitchers since I retired from working for Macmillan Cancer Support in 2015 and I am the current Chair. I love all kinds of stitching and enjoy getting creative with free machine stitch, applique and mixed media, as well as making more practical things for our charities and community projects.

Hello, I’m Jessica Kenny, I’m the Treasurer of Trumpington Stitchers.

My responsibilities include managing the bank account, grants and budgets for special projects – like our recent Reusable Pads Project. I joined Trumpington Stitchers in April 2022 and really enjoy the opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends in my community and have dedicated time to work on my own projects. I really enjoy embroidery and cross stitch and am getting more confident with a sewing machine, finishing a quilting and a bunting project this year.

I like all kinds of stitching especially dressmaking, repairing/alterations and crochet. I only learnt to crochet in lockdown but I now love it! I sometimes run workshops for Stitchers including making a zipped purse and strip quilting and I enjoy trying to work out how to teach projects I’ve really enjoyed making myself. I’ve been involved in Trumpington Stitchers since it first started.”

Dana – Website

Hello! My responsibilities include updating the website for Trumpington Stitchers. I’ve been knitting and crocheting since I was a child. When I was a teen I started borrowing sewing patterns from my friend’s mom and making clothes for myself and others. I’ve been a regular member of the Stitchers since 2020. I like all sorts of stitching and fiber crafts including, knitting, crochet and sewing. I like to use my skills to make hats and scarves for charity, make clothes for myself, my friends and family, and make cosplays to wear to conventions.
