Trumpington Allotments

Trumpington Allotments

The allotments which inspired our panel can be found between the guided busway and Foster Road and were created to serve the council estate built in the 1940’s. The land belongs to Cambridge City council and is divided into plots which can be rented from the Trumpington Allotment Society for the production of vegetables, fruit and flowers.

Any local resident can apply to become a member (for £4 a year), which gives access to garden supplies at the Trading Hut, annual seed ordering schemes and social events.

The Trumpington Allotment Garden Society (TAGS) is responsible for the allotments at Foster Road.

There are also three brand new allotment sites which have been created as part of the new developments, at Trumpington Meadows, Glebe Farm (Novo) and Clay Farm. Local residents on the new developments can apply to the City Council to be put on the waiting lists.
