orchard garden cards
Having moved from London to Cambridgeshire and acquiring our first garden we have watched plants and flowers appear, grow and fade with the seasons. By keeping the text on the cards to a minimum we hope you enjoy our photos on both sides.
Our cards have been printed in the UK on board from sustainable forests and the envelopes are made with 100% recycled paper. Each card is wrapped in a corn-starch PLA biodegradable sleeve.
All cards are blank inside
Stephanie is a long-time member of Trumpington Stitchers – she knits and crochets and made the figure of Sir Roger de Trumpington for the Stitch in Time panels. At our Craft Fair, she will be showing more of her talents; as a jeweller and as a ceramicist.
POETRY AND PICTURE CARDS
Fred Charap studied at the San Francisco Art Institute where he received a Masters in Fine Arts. He currently lives in a small Tuscan village in Italy. He has exhibited in Switzerland, France, Italy, and the UK. Many of his china ink drawings have been incorporated as illustrations in several books of poetry, including one of his own, and have been turned into beautiful greetings cards.
Linda Langford Powell currently lives in Trumpington and published two chapbooks of poetry, “One Breath at a Time” in 2015, and “Mrs Icarus” in 2017, using Fred Charap’s beautiful illustrations as accompaniment.
Bizi Lizi is a mother and daughter team; our stall sells fabulous fabric gifts. We have a large selection from small items – lipsalve keyrings, handbag mirrors, purses – to the more traditional aprons, oven gloves and table mats and onto mobiles, covered books and our “happy hearts”. Everything on our stall is handmade and many items are completely unique. www.facebook.com/BiziLiziGifts/
I trade as Amazing Grace (Grace is my mum’s name) and make cards and small felt items. I also have a selection of new dress patterns for sale. I have started working with air dry clay and attach a picture of my first sculpture!
Jo from the Hands-On Company will be selling her wonderful puppets – check out the webpage for more details of the Company’s work.
dilly, queen of the mermaids
Shortly after joining Trumpington Stitchers, and wanting to do something creative in the sewing line, I had the idea of transforming discarded [Barbie] dolls into mermaids by crafting tails for them. I went on to create Mermaid Rescue.
At the Craft Fair on Saturday I will have lots of beautiful mermaids with exquisite tails, all looking for loving homes. See my facebook page www.facebook.com/Mermaid-Rescue-434842673543532/
Claire and Amir run Hamsayeh International UK, a Christian faith organisation which supports Persian people in the UK and elsewhere. Funds raised from this stall help in their work. For more information visit www.hiuk.org
