MARCH 2ND LEARN TO USE A SEWING MACHINE (LED BY DILLY)
Threading up, inserting the bobbin, straight, fancy and zig-zag stitches. You will take home a drawstring bag.
APRIL 6TH MACHINE EMBROIDERY AND APPLIQUE (LED BY CAROL)
You will learn to use bondaweb to fix an image before stitching, and then use either free machine embroidery or just running or zig zag stitch if you prefer, to sew your picture onto the background fabric. You can use it to make an Easter card, frame it as picture to put on the wall, stitch it onto larger fabric to make a bag – there are endless possibilities. Once you know the technique, you can create images on bunting, tablecloths and runners, baby quilts, dress fronts – anywhere you want an image. Download instructions here
